Ladies and gentlemen, get ready to step into the world of Venetian Sleeping Beauties themed Spring Gala! We borrow MET gala 2024's theme, Inspired by the trilogy of nature, rebirth and renewal. This extraordinary event promises you and your friends & family a night of glamour reminiscent of Medieval Europe that you will never forget. Our location and historic backdrop will take you into a period fairytale novel!
Imagine this: As you walk through the entrance to the Library room, you are captivated by the splendor of the Renaissance and Baroque era, walking further as you embrace the elegance of the evening by donning your finest on-theme attire.
This intimate Black-tie gathering evening will kick off with a Piano & Violin trio music performance with open bar and food, photo booth, Ballroom dance lessons and more to come!

UPSTAIRS NYC presents to you exclusive access to the House of Redeemer. This spectacular New York City Landmark with stylistic influences from Italian Renaissance and Baroque furnishings is the perfect backdrop to enjoy an evening with special friends and loved ones! The Library room, a gem of the House, was constructed for a 16th-century Ducal Palace in Italy, featuring woodwork and mantel elements imported from Italy.
The purpose of this event is to provide memorable quality time with friends and guests while enjoying entertainment, great music, conversation, dance and networking in a beautiful space. Let's get together and make this one-of-a-kind party unforgettable moments.
It is important to mention that this year, Upstairs NYC is committed to addressing environmental issues, particularly focusing on the impact of Food Waste on Earth. Sasha Ono
​Sasha Ono is an award winning cellist and concert curator based in New York City where she performs and records music in various genres. Sasha has been featured as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician at Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, Madison Sq. Garden as well as international performance venues. Sasha’s recording work as a cellist can be found on the Grammy Award winning songs “Meta Knight’s Revenge” by the 8-Bit Big Band and “Refuge” by Geoffrey Keezer. Her studio work also includes soundtrack work for Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu TV shows, Disney Pixar, and more. She can also be seen in the TV shows “Only Murders in the Building” and “Mozart in the Jungle”.
As an advocate for classical music reflecting the experiences of wider communities, she founded Lotus Chamber Music Collective whose mission is to perform and commission compositions by women, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ composers. She has also founded the acclaimed series, “Comfy Classical” which has introduced many new audiences to classical chamber music. As an educator, Sasha is a teaching artist for New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. During her tenure teaching and conducting elementary and high school orchestras, Sasha developed a unique strings curriculum focused on developing perseverance, building effective practice techniques, and music literacy through ear training and improvisation.
Lotus Chamber Music Collective: Lotus Chamber Music Collective project curates uniquely welcoming, vibrant concerts featuring world-class artists. We provide resources for musicians and educators with a mission to highlight diversity in the world by featuring women, LGBTQIA+ community, and BIPOC composers and artists at the forefront of all programming. LotusCMC has received grants from Chamber Music America and completed a mini-residency at the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum. Our work has also been featured at the Chamber Music America Conference in 2021 as well as in several magazines

Policy & Refund

The event fee is non-refundable. You can, on the other hand, transfer a ticket to a friend.
If an event is postponed, rescheduled, or moved, your tickets are still valid for the new date and no further action is required. Emails will be sent to ticket holders notifying them of any available refund options for the event.
Attendees must be 21 years of age or older.
Guests who test positive to COVID-19 will be unable to enter the venue. These guests are encouraged to contact upstairsatnyc@gmail.com to book a future event.

Crowd Photo Release
By entering the House of Redeemer for the Spring Gala event, you consent to having your image captured by official photographers and videographers. The resulting materials, including still photographs, video and audio recording may be used by Upstairs NYC for the promotional entities without restriction or financial compensation, in news materials, promotional materials, on the web, social media and other properties. If you do not agree to having your image captured or recorded, please do not participate the event.

TICKETING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The scope of where the photographs or recordings may be used .
In order for the purchaser and/or holder (hereinafter referred to as you “You” or “Your”) of a valid wristband or ticket (“Ticket”) to enter Upstairs talk events (the “Event”), You must possess a valid Ticket that permits access.
ARTICLE 1: YOUR TICKET

PLEASE BE ADVISED that the purchase and/or use of a Ticket to, and/or entry to the Event shall constitute Your unconditional acceptance to be bound by any and all of the terms and conditions contained within this agreement (this “Agreement”) between You and Upstairs talk events to attend all or part of the Event.

For safety reasons, the Upstairs talk events reserves the right to, without any prior notice or compensation to You: postpone, cancel, interrupt or stop the Event; provisionally keep visitors on the Event site at the end of the Event; totally or partially vacate the Event site; and deny access to the Event site regardless of the possession of a valid entry ticket.

Subject to the limitations of this Agreement, the Upstairs talk events reserves the right to change, modify, or alter any aspect of the Event (including, without limitation, the appearance of any performer, and/or the order of performance of any performer), at any time, for any reason whatsoever, without any prior notice or compensation to You. You understand that the artists and/or lineup for the Event may be changed and that such occurrence shall not, under any circumstances, entitle You to any claim whatsoever, including, but not limited to, a refund for Your Ticket.

You understand, acknowledge, and agree that the names of any performer contained in any Event promotional material is intended for informational purposes only, and does not, in any way, represent the importance or headline status of any single artist, act or performer, and is subject to change without prior notice.

EXCEPT AS EXPLICITLY OTHERWISE PROVIDED HEREIN, YOU UNCONDITIONALLY UNDERSTAND THAT ALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL, THERE WILL BE NO TICKET REFUNDS AND/OR TICKET EXCHANGES. THE EVENT IS A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT.

If the Event is cancelled in whole, or in part, due to a Force Majeure Event (as defined below), You will not be entitled to a refund. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Upstairs talk events may issue, at the Upstairs talk events sole and absolute discretion, a partial or full refund of Your Ticket, by accounting for, among other considerations, the extent and nature of the cancellation. A “Force Majeure Event” shall mean an act of God, act of terrorism, flood, tsunami, strike or other labor condition or dispute, an order or injunction of any court or administrative body or any other act of public authority, severe weather threatening the safety of Event attendees or similar contingency or unexpected event, plague, epidemic, pandemic, outbreaks of infectious disease or any other public health crisis, including quarantine or other restrictions, and any such occurrence beyond the reasonable control of Upstairs talk events. You understand that in all instances, the maximum remedy You may receive for any cancellation of any part of the Event, if any, will be the face value of Your Ticket, excluding all fees and/or service charges paid by You in connection with the purchase of Your Ticket.

By entering the Event, You assume any and all risk and/or danger, known and unknown, foreseeable and unforeseeable, resulting from, or incidental to, the Event, whether occurring prior to, during, or subsequent to, the Event, including, but not limited to, any death, personal injury or loss, damage or liability whatsoever. You understand that Your use of Your Ticket is contingent upon Your voluntary assumption of the risk and danger that may result from, or be incidental to, Your presence at the Event, whether occurring prior to, during or after the Event, including, but not limited to, any actions or omissions of the Upstairs talk events.

You acknowledge and understand that the Ticket is a revocable license to attend the Event for which it was issued, which is subject to revocation and denial of admission without compensation for any reason, including, but not limited to, Your attempted or actual violation of any of the rules set forth herein, policy or regulations and for any other action taken by You in violation of any local, state or federal law, or that may endanger other ticketholders.

While the venue is taking measures to enhance the safety of their visitors, performers, and employees, an inherent risk of exposure to and infection with COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present, and a visit to the venue may still pose a risk to your safety. By visiting venue, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure of COVID-19.
